For everyone who doesn't know me too well, and for those who don't know me at all, hi, I'm Ten. I'm bad at explaining my personality so I'm not going to try.
My approach to warrior names is third-style, and my interpretation process boils down to this formula:
With my limited knowledge of the characters and plot, I might not be doing much posting in the canon side of the forum. I'll be more active over on the fanon side of things, making posts about original characters and general themes, mostly, or so I expect. I know more about feline genetics than the average Warriors fan and get a kick out of critiquing bios, not to mention I enjoy a good suffix debate, so that's the sort of thing you might see from me. Looking forward to it.
I've been hanging around this fandom for a good while now, enough that a few folks might recognize me, so if you're asking yourself, "Wait, Ten? That Ten?" then yes, I am that Ten. I've haunted the warriors topics on the neoboards, argued over names, and crept onto other fora often enough to gain a little reputation in some circles. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's fine -- just understand that this ain't my first rodeo, as they say.
Some odds and ends:
By all means, feel free to post a reply to this thread, just to say hi or to appreciate any of the aforementioned awesomeness with me. If you want to introduce yourself to everyone, though, you can make your own introduction thread by clicking here.

A name tends to work when either the cat has a suffix that looks like the prefix,I've read up to the book Moonrise of the second Warriors arc. At that point I got bored with the pacing and quit, though I did pick up The Sight later on for a special project. Haven't read any canon since then. No favorite characters come to mind, but I do have a pet hatred for StarClan. Useless little devils.
the cat looks like the prefix and is skilled with the suffix,
or the cat looks like the prefix and has a (suffix)-y personality.

Some odds and ends:
I have a healthy appreciation for Disney's Mulan and The Emperor's New Groove, among other things.
Deserts are a source of fascination for me, and I adore almost everything related to them. There's no way to emphasize this enough. I really, really like deserts.
I am an equestrian, and my favorite breed of horse is the Arab.
I'd rather talk about state history, physics, or economics than have a sincere conversation about "OTPs". Linguistics is a pretty cool subject, too. Etymology is fascinating.
I am terrible at video games and stick to a small collection of old games like KotOR and Civilization III. A bit of simulation, strategy, and violence, and I'm set. First-person shooters just confuse me because the spatial reasoning part of my brain doesn't exist. However, when it comes to board games, I've yet to come across anyone who can come close to beating me at Risk (not like there's any reason to be proud of this).
I dislike "-ly" adverbs, in particular the word "suddenly", and I like this poem because it's funny.
Sometime's I'll mention someone by the name of Henry. That's my laptop.
You really shouldn't ask my about my taste in music because you're not going to get a straight answer.
Colette Tatou and Lin Beifong are my heroes. I don't suffer fools gladly.
Rattlesnakes are awesome in my book because they don't mess with you if you don't mess with them. If you hear one rattling, don't get all in a tither and kill it. It's being polite by letting you know it's there.
I like cinnamon candles and asking questions.
I'm rooting for the Dark Forest for the win.
