Our rules are short and simple. Stick to these and stay out of trouble.
Acceptable Content: To maintain a civil and sophisticated atmosphere, and to make our younger members feel welcome, we request that you avoid swearing and keep your avatar and signature free of sexual or profane content. Sometimes, you may wish to create a thread for discussing a matter not suitable for all members, but which still adheres to the subjects and spirit of this forum. To do so, please label the thread with a content warning, like in this example: “[Content Warning] Rare Physical Mutations associated with Tortie Genes”. If you create a potentially-objectionable thread but neglect to mark it with a content warning, don’t worry. Expect to get a friendly reminder in your inbox and see the title of your thread marked for you by the staff. If the thread is too inappropriate for this forum, it will be deleted, but you will not be banned unless you have ignored repeated warnings.
Advertizing: If it comes up in conversation, it is permissible to link to other sites for examples and further information. However, please do not abuse this forum by using it to post advertizements. Only bring up what's relevant to the thread, and don't create threads just to say "hey guys, check out my site". This is not the place for that. Any ad posts or threads will be deleted.
In addition to our rules, we also have some guidelines on how to carry out discussion in an effective, polite and constructive manner, which you can read here.
