Hi! :3 I'm ameliette, also known as Amy Whitespot. I'm from Finland, and my Finnish Warriors fansite Tassupolku has been up for two years now! I found the series in spring 2010 via FF.net, and got hooked. It didn't take me long to set up a fansite for them, and to be honest, I'm still the most reliable and mature of all the admins across Finland. The newest book over here is Midnight, and The Lost Warrior-trilogy was released at the same time with the first three books. The roleplays around here are horrible, no one respects copyrights and everyone is acting like a ten-year-old. ... moving on.
I'm about one fourth through Outcast(as of 8/28), and while I'm not particularly happy with the plot, I'm going to read the series through, and hopefully also own all the books in both English and Finnish. (Having someone else pay the books for you is an awesome thing XD)
I'm somewhat of a net-wizard, and I've played around with a lot of different website hosts and blogging services. (I've got Tumblr, Blogger, LiveJournal AND WordPress.) I'm also administrating the forum of my fansite.
Outside Warriors, I like fashion, history, mix of those two, art, writing, Avatar: the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra and Star Wars. English is of course my second language(been learning it for nine years now), but I speak it well enough for frequent online conversation.
I think aloud a lot, even in text, so my texts usually aren't really coherent unless I re-read them like three times. Also applies to this post.
Edit: fixed a typo and added how long I've been stydying English.

Hello, Ameliette. Wow, you sound like a busy person. Well, we all are, but that's cool -- I don't know much about the Warriors fandom in other countries. What do the warrior names look like in Finnish? Think you could write a thread for us on that? I imagine the translation would necessitate at least a few changes.
Avatar is awesome. Just putting that down on the record. I'm kind of an earthbender personality; what about you?
Also, your ability to speak a second language with a native speaker's fluency is amazing and I am so jealous. I could never join a forum where everyone speaks Spanish. I'd be so lost.

Hey, Ameliette. I'm so chuffed to see you joined us. And seriously, your English is brilliant. I would never have suspected it was your second language. I'm currently learning Japanese for my second language (but I'm not very good at it).
Also, Ten, you never told me you'd be an earthbender. According to my friends (and myself), I'd be an earthbender as well. Stellar stuff up in this.

I'm pretty much a firebender, even though airbending is probably closest to my personality (avoiding all conflict).
I've been studying English since I was in third grade, so that's full nine years now. I prettu much use only English in the internet nowadays, and in the last two-three years I've started reading a lot in English, so that's made my writing a lot better. (Not confident at all about my speaking skills, though DX I'm a horrible awkward turtleduck.)
Where should I put that translations thread if I create it at some point? RN I'm knee-deep in stuff I should do, but at some point I'll definitely make that thread. You're going to hear ALL about the changed names. (Note: purists didn't like Scourge's translation, since the meaning was given in a 'manga' and the translator of course didn't read that.) Also, we have Clan names as pfefixes -.-

Speaking has got to be the most difficult part of learning a different language. Writing, reading, understanding Spanish, I can do, but trying to speak it in conversation I take an age to form a sentence.
Either Books or Canon Characters would be an appropriate place. Whenever you can.

Welcome, Ameliette. ^.^ I'm Leah.
I've always been curious about translations of books or shows. It started when I learned some interesting facts about Pokemon in the Japanese world, so it's become this interest of mine.
Anyway, I consider myself a Waterbender, for three reasons. One, I love Winter (snow!) and they mostly live in the poles. Second, Ice is one of my favorite elements (not actual elements of course, I mean fantasy-wise, where they usually seperate ice and water) and since Waterbenders use ice.. well. Third, it's closest to my personality: i have both my calm and my wild days.
Anyway, welcome. :3
