I've asked Grey on Ailuronymy but I'd like to open up the question to Fourtrees Resurrected: is the size of the Clan territories realistic given the amount of prey that would be available in their environment versus the number of cats living there? The only data on the size of feral cat territories that I've been able to find is for solitary cats.
In addition: assuming the answer to my first question is "no", how much territory would a Clan-sized group of cats actually require?

Good question. Due to some calculations, the way they live is practically impossible. This adds another reason. Plus the fact of how no humans have noticed highly developed colonies of cats. Plus, only a few have been trapped not to their will, when it reality a few more should have.
Back to the territories, there isn't exactly enough prey in a forest to feed 40 or so cats a day. Sure, they can reproduce but still, it would go by fast. They eat around 2-3 times a day. I'll do further research, maybe I can dig up something on feral cats.
