I sort of feel that a cat 'lets go' of their previous name once they receive a name-change, since it's no longer relevant to them. And since no-one would address them like that any more or anything, it would probably just slip out of everyone's minds. That's just my take on it, of course - we can if you'd like to.
If we were to decide on a previous name for him, I'd like for his prefix to be rook-.

Whitestorm: - I would really like to see him have the -cloud suffix instead of -storm, since he's a really excellent example of -cloud. - is pretty good friends with both Tigerclaw and Lionheart, and other than the occasional scuffles over she-cat attentions, they have a very cooperative and genial existence (although Tigerclaw has always been a bit serious and grouchy. Whitestorm and Lionheart can still goad him into a gentle round of play-fighting on a good day.) - has always had more difficulty hunting than most cats, due to his large size and bright pelt. As a young cat, he would often roll in dust and moss in an attempt to compensate (to debatable effect); he has always felt a little embarrassed by how noticeable he is.
Runningwind: - if he could be a dark brown tabby named Swiftfoot, I would be delighted. - the fastest cat in Thunderclan; he prides himself on this quite a lot but rarely boasts (he knows that if he boasted, one of the bigger cats would put him back in his place with a few smacks of their paw.) - has always fancied racing against Windclan cats, and tries not to appear too interested in Windclan life even though he is; at Gatherings it's obvious, though, as he naturally gravitates towards them.
Barley: - has a strange accent compared to all the clan cats. - knows a lot of things the clans don't (especially about humans and farm-land, etcetera) but doesn't have much understanding of clan-life.
Firepaw/Fireheart/Firestar: - considered to be very handsome for Thunderclan standards. This is partially why Bluestar chose him to become a member of Thunderclan; she was thinking of the genetic future of Thunderclan, and he seemed like the perfect cat for the job. Firepaw is completely oblivious about this.
Longtail: - although a little strange to look at for a clan cat (narrow and angular, as though he has Siamese or Oriental Shorthair genes), his odd, exotic appearance makes him decidedly good-looking to many. - ironically, he is not willing to take a mate; has shown no interest, even though some she-cats had made it clear that he wouldn't have to fight anyone to get their attention or impress them. - feels rather guilty for his disinterest, but was slowly coming to terms with it - until Rusty arrived. - strongly dislikes Rusty/Firepaw because Rusty/Firepaw is, essentially, his "replacement", and added to the bitterness he already felt regarding his situation, Longtail finds it hard to tolerate the sight of the ginger tom.
