I just double checked messybeast and well www.messybeast.com/eye-colours.htmMy suspicions were correct, and thinking about it if the X inactivation can occur on a tortie anywhere on the body, why not the effect eyes? Its probably reasonably rare though, they would have to have the "red" activate in just the right way to produce a different eye color then the tortie or "not red" would allow. Unfortunately I cannot find any pictures of my cat to show that have the speck visible, and since she is deceased I guess there won't be any. I should have went there first though haha, my google searches weren't turning up anything feasible either.

I enjoyed reading the discussion on heterochromia in cats. I've always been surprised there aren't a lot more characters like that. I've always liked to make them, and I kind of feel entitled to make as many heterochromatic characters as I want, seeing as I myself have two different coloured eyes. (Not just different shades, one is literally blue and the other is green. Actually, they also have a different colour around the pupil as well (yellow-ish and brown, respectively,) so I kind of have two different kinds of heterochromia.) But enough bragging about my eyes, this is starting to sound conceited, haha. Interesting that it's more common in cats than humans, though. I never knew that before.
